The RAZORBILL

the Razorbill is an 8 meter Starfish  licenced for 6 anglers plus 2 crew , she is fitted with a 246 hp Styre engine from Mermaid Mand has a top speed of 23knts and a cruiseing speed of 16-19knts.

the Starfisf hull is a popular hull and has  been around for many years, they are very sea worthy and spacious for their size and so are fairly common.she has a gally that includes a grill and two gas hobs so tea and coffee are provided and we have the facilities to cook if you wish.

The Razorbill is run by Stuart Belbin the senior of the two skippers.Stuart used to run charter boats out of mersea in the eighties and early ninties untill he had to get a steadier job due to some personel reasons.

He had a wooden boat called the 'Crusader' and another  wooden vessel called the 'Researcher' which he ran successfully for years untill like most others he opted for a faster and more modern boat called the 'Deva' a 33ft Aquastar. He ran this for a few years getting a very good name for himself when he was getting some huge hits of cod from the wrecks out of Mersea after this he ran the 'Silver Lady' another Aquastar he cotinued to run this for several yearas untill he was forced to give up the job he loved.

aAer a break of a couple of years and due to his own love of the sport and his then three young sons Stuart perchased another boat the 'Razorbill' so that they could go fishing.for a few years he and his sons fished whenever they could just for pleasure.but now the boys are older and have got their own boats and Stuart has grown older and now wants to semi retire back into charter fishing and has set the Razorbill up specifically with this in mind.
